This is a writer’s blog, author’s blog, professional blog, whatever. This is about the stuff I’m not writing and all the ways I’ve found to distract myself so that they don’t get written or, at least, so they take longer. (for the uninitiated, that’s called ‘sarcasm’ and you might see a lot of that here)

J. R. R. Tolkien in his introduction to the second edition of The Lord of the Rings:
“Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible, and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing that they evidently prefer.”
